Q: Will Corona effect the tournament?
A: The health of players, coaches, spectators and volunteers is very important to us. This tournament can only take place if the risks are minimal. Our expectations are that by the end of July due to the warm summer weather and vacinations this tournament can take place.
We will keep an close eye on the situation and inform everybody if the situation changes for the worst.
Q: When will the event take place?
A: From Tuesday July 27th untill Saturday July 31st. In case of bad weather we can use the Neptunus complex on Sunday August 1st for delayed games. Make sure that you are able to play on that day as well.
Q: I want to register for an older age group than my own, is that possible? For example, I am 15 years old but want to play in the U21 baseball competition.
A: Based on your draft video we will determine if you have the skills to compete in another age group. Please make sure to specify your request when sending your registration. It can also occur that the BCSC organization by itself determines that your talent is more suited for an older age group, we will always discuss that option with you.
Q: Are there accomodations nearby where I can stay during the event?
A: Next to the ballpark we have the ‘van der Valk hotel’ and the ‘City camping’ is at a walking distance. Neptunus is located close to the city centre, public transport and highways, so many other options are easily accessible. We will post recommendations at short notice.
Q: I am younger than 10 years old, is there no posibility that I can still join the tournament?
A: Based on your draft video and skills the organisation might make an exception. Make sure to specify your age and request in the application form.
Q: Are you going to post all the names of the people who registered for the tournament at short notice?
A: We will post all the names of the people who have payed their tournament fee a couple of weeks prior to the draft event. This will be somewhere in May, dates will be confirmed.
Q: I don’t have a video (yet). Can I still sign up?
A: Yes, you can! Videos have to be in before May 17th. Sign-up now and send the video later.
Q: When do I pay the tournament fee?
A: As soon as the draft has taken place and teams have been selected, we will send every participant details on what and how to pay your admission fee.
Q: What happens to my entry fee in case of a Covid-19 cancellation?
A: We will pick the teams in May. Normally by that time we will a have a better understanding of the Covid situation in the Netherlands during the summer months. If we decide to cancel the event at that moment, people have no payed their fees yet. If we push forward and continue with the event that means; all signs are on green with no or a limited risk of cancellation.
